We Can & We Will

Home to an estimated population of over 30 million people, Malaysia is a true melting pot of Asian cultures. From the stunning racial diversity and rich tapestry of heritage and cultures to the vast selection of cuisine and harmonious languages and dialects being spoken, we are incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a friendly community. It is something that we should all hold dear to our hearts for it builds the unspoken bond we share as Malaysians though we are culturally diverse.

Growing up, some of us may have had to deal with some unfortunate instances of racist and misogynistic remarks. Frankly, we still see some of these happening up until this day and age and it just could not be any more disappointing and disheartening. There is absolutely no need for xenophobia to be such a common sight in a country that has always been known for its beautiful multicultural beliefs. Let us learn to accept and embrace our differences rather than tearing one another apart.

This year, if there is one thing each and every one of us has learnt, it is to appreciate and be grateful beyond boundaries. While our dedicated frontliners are standing in the face of a global pandemic, the people are working together by staying home doing what it takes to beat the virus. Take this time to show your patriotism and unity by embracing the colours that make us Malaysian.
