Self-love is a concept that we love talking about. After all, it is the reason that Signature Market came to be!

Most of us do not realize that oftentimes, we are our own worst enemy. There is so much self-doubt and self-blame, that no room is left for growth or happiness. Self-love, to put it simply, means to be kind to oneself. It means to fully accept and embrace yourself as who you are; precluding comparison to others, self-denigration or self-blame. Not to be confused with narcissism which is a recognized physiological disorder, self-love is gentle and wholesome. It focuses on uplifting oneself without belittling others hence goes hand in hand with self-awareness and self-compassion.

Self-awareness and self-compassion are accompanied by self-love. Once you’ve achieved that, your process of self-growth comes naturally. You’ll learn to love every inch of your body, mind and soul. You’ll learn to be comfortable with who you are as a person. You give yourself the power to become the best version of yourself, without the need to seek validation from those around you. Now, that’s the true meaning of self-love.
