There’s a saying that the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow so it’s immensely crucial to give them the best start in life. We believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity in life by surrounding themselves in the right environment to thrive.

This month, we’re spreading hope and love to the vulnerable children at The Lighthouse Children's Welfare Home.

The home’s operation is mainly funded by individual donations and fundraising activities. However, they’re struggling to make ends meet every month as the home maintenance and child care costs are both relatively high. It comes to approximately RM800,000 per year to support the physiological needs (meals & clothing), education, rental and utilities for 4 homes, health care, tuition fees and scholarship of all 63 children. Without stable economic support, the home wouldn’t be able to sustain its operations, risking losing the children back to their violent and abusive households.

Hereby we encourage our community to lend a helping hand to the children. Know that you’ll be playing a pivotal role in ensuring they are nurtured and cared for in a safe and loving environment.

About The Lighthouse Children's Welfare Home
Established in 2007, The Lighthouse Children's Welfare Home is a foster home run by Mr. and Mrs. Steven, who have given up their respective jobs to become full-time foster parents to all the children. With the mission of providing a safe environment that enables children to access equal opportunities, thrive and become active change-makers in society, the home now houses 63 children aged between 4 to 20 years old in four rented houses that comply with all the necessary regulations.
