Recipe: Baked Tempeh
Tempeh is a fermented soy product that's a popular vegetarian meat replacement. It is a nutritious addition to your diet. High in protein, probiotics and a wide array of vitamins and minerals.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 tempeh cake, cut into bite-sized
- oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Combine the tamari, vinegar and sesame oil and stir to combine. Add garlic.
2. Add the tempeh. Marinate at room temperature overnight.
3. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
4. Place the marinated tempeh pieces on a nonstick baking sheet. Spread some oil.
5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
6. Flip the pieces over and bake for another 10 minutes.
