Recipe: Best Classic Brownies

Extremely simple recipe for rich brownies.

INGREDIENTS:
- 40g white sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 2/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- baking paper

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat the oven to 165ºC. Place baking paper on square pan.
2. Using a double boiler, stir the sugar, butter, water and chocolate chips until evenly combined. 3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into the chocolate mixture. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
3. Bake for 35 - 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until brownies set up. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
