Reversing Cancer with Cancer Research Malaysia

Over the years, you would know that Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns have always been a part of the Signature Market brand. Fighting for and supporting the cause meant more than simply turning pink. It meant that we had to play an integral part in ensuring awareness was ensued throughout the course of our campaign. As a healthy living brand, we can only do so much, which is why we have been super fortunate to work with organisations that are committed to educating the public.

This year, we are honoured to be working with Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM) - Malaysia's only non-profit organisation that is dedicated to conducting cancer research among the Asian community. Majority of cancer research done worldwide often focuses on cancers that are common among Caucasians and this is where CRM steps in to help empower our community. CRM strives to confront the stigma against cancer head on by reversing the language of cancer. With plans to develop tools backed by good research, this ensures that we, as a community can most definitely fight cancer on all fronts.

The following images were taken during the workshop conducted at our event last week. The CRM team educated our customers through a 'Know Your Lemons' session on identifying and understanding changes in our breasts through a unique box of lemons that help bring light to this session.
