Cleaning with Lemon Essential Oil

Have you ever wondered of making your own cleaning agent? Let me tell you why you should!

Firstly, it saves so much more than actually buying commercial cleaning products that contains loads of chemicals. Making your own cleaning products is not only cheap using natural ingredients but also you won’t need to worry of chemicals touching your skin. Besides that, you can actually save a lot of plastics packaging from constantly repurchasing commercial cleaning products because you can totally use glass bottles for your cleaning agents and keep reusing them.

In this blog post, I’ll show you several DIY natural cleaning agent recipes but firstly introducing you to the main hero for these recipes which is the lemon essential oil. 1. All purpose cleaner
Every time you reach out to use your cloth to clean anything, just a few sprits of your all purpose cleaner will make everything much more cleaner and having a citrus scent too!


Recipe : 1 cup of water + 1/2 cup of white vinegar + 1 teaspoon of dish soap + 15 drops of lemon essential oil
Application : Shake before use. Spray a few times on surface and use cloth/microfibre cloth to clean




2. Sinks & toilet bowls
Want to get rid of stains at your sink and freshen up your toilet bowls? Simply follow the recipe below!

Recipe : Baking soda/bicarbonate of soda + all purpose spray
Application : pour some baking soda/bicarbonate of soda on to your sink or toilet bowl, spray some of your all purpose spray making it like a paste, let it sit for few minutes and scrub away




3. Glass windows & mirrors
Clean your glass windows and mirrors streak free every single time!

Recipe : 1 cup of water + 1/2 cup of white vinegar + 15 drops of lemon essential oil
Application : Shake before use. Spray a few times on surface and use dry cloth or newspaper to clean




4. Scrub stains away
This scrubbing paste will make every stubborn stains go away!

Recipe : 2 tablespoon of baking soda + 2 tablespoon of water + 3 to 4 drops of lemon essential oil
Application : mix ingredients in a bowl forming a thick paste and apply to desire area like stovetop and start scrubbing with a cloth or rough sponge.




5. Sticky residue
Annoyed of not getting rid of all the sticky residue left from the stickers from packaging?

Recipe : all you need is just a few drops of lemon essential oil
Application : a few drops on the sticky area and wait a few minutes before wiping it off
