Yoga & Breast Cancer: To A Better Body, Mind & Spirit

Disclaimer: We are not medical professionals and are not recommending yoga as a treatment to breast cancer. Please always reach out to your doctor for advice before trying out yoga.

According to an article by the American Cancer Society, research has long shown that yoga has phenomenal benefits to enhance our physical and mental well being. For women with breast cancer and especially those who are undergoing treatments, it may feel extremely demotivating with the stress and fatigue through each doctor’s appointment or treatment session. Hence, yoga could be just the right practice for you to have a better mind-body engagement.

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that originated in India. It essentially incorporates nutrition, exercise and meditation with the intention of bringing together our body, mind and spirit. For breast cancer patients and survivors, yoga could help manage the emotional and psychological effects that often result from cancer diagnosis and treatment. With gentle stretches, mental focus and breathing exercises, yoga helps tremendously in stress management and fatigue.

If you would like to try out yoga for yourself, you are welcomed to join our exclusive #BeAUniquecorn Virtual Event in collaboration with Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) Malaysia and Under Armour this coming Saturday (16th October) at 10am. You will be able to enjoy an empowering and insightful talk by the BCWA as well as a good stretch by Under Armour Brand Ambassador, Atilia Haron!

Interested? Simply purchase our Be A Uniquecorn Gift Box at only RM35 to secure your slot to the virtual event and contribute to a portion of the sales made from this Gift Box being donated to support the BCWA.

RSVP here, mark your calendars and see you soon!
