At Signature Market, we believe in women's empowerment and the recognition of every woman's devotion and sacrifice, in particular, that of single mothers’ and their immeasurable effort in ensuring the wellbeing of their children.

This February, we’re extending our help to single mothers and their children in Yi Shan Home, Ipoh.

Established in 2014, the home supports single mothers financially by providing extra working opportunities at their small-scale food catering business and free education & care for their children while their mothers are at work. Their founder, Yean has been the sole educator for these children, as she is a firm believer in ensuring education is made available for everyone. However, with the pandemic that struck resulting in loss of jobs nationwide, donations by the public have also significantly reduced hence diminishing the home’s sole source of income.

Hence, they are now relying mainly on selling recycled goods to sustain their operations.

In an effort to motivate these mothers who are only yearning for the best for their children, Yean is looking into building a kindergarten so the children could always have access to education, regardless of the situation. However, the entire project comes up to RM10,000 and it’s far from what they can afford.

Thus, we encourage our Signature Market community to contribute your part in this meaningful single-parent empowerment effort. Do know that every little bit counts.
