If monk fruit doesn’t sound familiar, then perhaps luo han guo will ring a bell. This Chinese medicine shop staple is an unassuming looking gourd that is renowned for its natural sweetening properties. Despite being touted as being a 100 times sweeter than sugar, monk fruits actually contain no calories whatsoever and has zero impact on blood sugar levels. Traditionally used in Chinese medicine to cool down the body, our Chilling Beauty Monk Fruit Tea also contains longans which may have anti-aging properties due to its antioxidant-rich nature.

What Does This Taste Like?

Health Benefits
1. Expels heat from the body and reduces the likelihood of contracting other illnesses such as coughs, fevers and colds.
2. All-natural sweetener that doesn’t affect blood sugar levels and contains no calories. It’s suitable even for individuals with diabetes.

Usage Directions
1. Crush the monk fruit.
2. Place all the herbal tea ingredients into a pot of water (2 litres) and bring to boil on high heat.
3. Once the herbal tea has boiled, lower the heat and allow it to continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
4. Serve hot or cold as desired. Chill in fridge if cold beverage is preferred.
*A single monk fruit is sufficient to yield up to 2-3 litres of the beverage.
