Tetley's green teas are made to very exacting specifications, so we deliver you a refreshingly light taste.
However, we do find that a lot of consumers feel green tea can sometimes be bitter. Did you know that green tea leaves are much more delicate than black tea leaves, and so don't react very well to being overly heated?

For a better tasting cup of green tea, try our easy '80:80 rule' - Only put the teabag in 80 degree water, not boiling water, and don't steep it for more than 80 seconds. You'll still enjoy all the goodness you expect from green tea, but without the bitterness.

Tetley’s green tea is carefully processed in the traditional Chinese manner to create a refreshing, light taste that’s never bitter or twisted. For a perfect cup of Tetley Tea, one bag per mug is best, or one bag per person popped into a warmed teapot. Add freshly boiled water, stir and gently squeeze. Infuse for 3-5 minutes, serve and enjoy!
