Combined with a nourishing brew of herbs, it yields a nutritious soup that is mildly sweet yet packed with essential vitamins and minerals. This warming soup focuses on strengthening the throat, lungs and stomach. The use of ginseng for medicinal purposes dates back to approximately 5000 years ago and since then it has gained a reputation for its anti-aging and adaptogen properties. Ginseng also helps to boost mental alertness and restore homeostasis in the body.

4. Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen in Chinese and Asian ginseng in English) is the dried root of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey. According to Chinese traditional medicine, this ginseng is great for replenishing the lung and spleen, nourishing blood, calming the mind and enhancing mental clarity and intelligence.
5. Goji berries promote healthy skin and eyes, helps stabilise blood sugar, prevents liver damage and alleviates symptoms of depression, anxiety and sleep issues.

Usage Directions
1. Blanch meat of choice in boiling water.
2. Pour the soup pack ingredients and meat into a pot of water (1.5L of water recommended), and bring to boil on high heat.
3. Once the soup has boiled, lower the heat and allow it to simmer for another 1 hour and 30 minutes.
4. Season with salt according to your preference before allowing it to simmer for another 10 minutes.
5. Serve hot.

Red Dates (红枣), Polygonatum odoratum (玉竹), Chinese yam (淮山), Longan (龙眼), Goji Berry (枸杞), Poria (茯苓), Codonopsis pilosula (党参), Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma Rubra (高丽参须), Astragalus Propinquus (北芪).
